Description
In 2008, Pope Benedict XVI visited the United States of America for the first time. He first touched down on American soil, in the Nation's Capital, where he met with President George W. Bush at the White House, performed Mass at National's Baseball Stadium and gave a speech to Catholic Educators at The Catholic University of America. After several more stops throughout the Washington, DC area, the Pope flew up to New York City for a number of events to include a Visit to Ground Zero (September 11th, 2001) and a speech to the United Nations.
