CUA Cardinals Football falls to Bridgewater College

The Catholic University Cardinal’s Football Team closed the regular season with a tough loss to the Bridgewater College Eagles 37-26. However, quarterback, #12 Keith Ricca, had a terrific game being sacked only once and surpassing the 11,000 career passing yards mark early on in the game.
The Cardinals will play the John Hopkins University Blue Jays in the ECAC Southeast Bowl this coming Saturday (11/22/2008) at Noon in Baltimore, MD. (Read the CUA Press Release)
The Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show

The 2008 Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show in Washington, D.C. featured more than 200 companies ranging from specialty food companies, caterers, stationers and party planners to kitchen planners, personal chefs, and appliance manufacturers. Additionally, the show featured numerous cooking workshops as well as local chef cooking competitions.
The most anticipated part of the show had to be two of the special guest stars: Paula Deen and Bobby Flay. Both Paula and Bobby were featured at the Land O’ Lakes Celebrity Theater at which they prepared several dishes for the crowd.
CUA @ The Landmark Conference Finals

CUA’s Field Hockey and Women’s Soccer teams went into the Landmark Conference Finals on Saturday with top conference records; however despite valiant attempts, by both teams, the day proved to be a disappointing one for all, as both teams lost in overtime late Saturday afternoon. John McCain for President 2008 Rally

Senator McCain drew a crowd of thousands during his last appearance in Virginia before Election Day 2008. Before the senator’s arrival, notable politicians such as Virginia Senator John Warner, former Virginia Senator/Governor George Allen and Governor Jim Gilmore spoke to the crowd about the upcoming elections.
